Current GRAMMY-nominee Thomas Rhett unveiled the official music video today for his skyrocketing new single “Marry Me,” bringing the song’s unpredictable and poignant lyrics to life. Shot by Director TK McKamy in both Nashville and Birmingham, AL, the video weaves a stripped-down performance by Thomas Rhett through a storyline, which takes fans through the progression of a relationship – from childhood, to a high school crush, all the way up to a wedding day which ends unexpectedly.
“If I had never told Lauren how I felt about her, I probably would have been at her wedding watching her marry someone else,” Thomas Rhett said. “So, I wanted to capture that feeling of heartbreak in this video – and this really hits me in the gut.”
In September, Thomas Rhett released his third album LIFE CHANGES (The Valory Music Co.), the biggest, boldest-sounding record of his career, filled with a diverse batch of songs united by the “consistency of their craft” (Variety) as he stretches his sound to new limits. Highlighting his “detailed style of songwriting” (Rolling Stone), the new release debuted at No. One on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, marking the first Country release to take the top spot in 2017, earning a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. The music is resonating with fans, with his first two RIAA GOLD-certified singles “Craving You” and “Unforgettable” soaring to No. One. He recently wrapped his debut headlining HOME TEAM TOUR, marking 31 total sell-outs, announcing that he’ll roll the momentum into next year on his LIFE CHANGES TOUR 2018, set to kick off in April.
