BCMA Awards

ad-bcma-theatreIt’s been a good year for country music here in the UK. The summer festivals continue to evolve and the talent pool is growing nicely. We had great fun at Buckle and Boots and FSA Festival and Bob Harris’s Under The Apple Tree was another highlight.

Most of the artists appearing at those events were UK based. We may not have the global pull of the CMA Awards but it’s time to recognise those that have excelled this year. The annual British Country Music Awards will be held this weekend at The Heston Venue, Heston Sports Ground, Crane Lodge Road, Cranford , Middlesex TW5 9PQ.

The event begins on Saturday with a ‘Best Of British’ Showcase that will feature Dexeter, The Southern Companion, Thorne Hill, Gary Quinn, Emma Swindells and Beau Fuller.

The actual awards ceremony will be held on Sunday with performances from Red Sky July, Katy Hurt, SaraBeth, Glen Mitchell, Ashton Lane Jess and The Bandits and Holloway Road.

The list of nominees can be seen at www.bcmawards.com

The compare for the main event is Baylon Leonard.

If you can’t make it to the show we will try to be your eyes and ears. Your Life In A Song will be there updating live on twitter and we hope to get a few interviews with the runners and racers.
