Blake O’Connor has announced his new single If You Wanna Get To Heaven, the third single to be lifted from his Star Maker album Everything I Feel. It follows the singles Beautiful As You and Worth A Little More.

In November, Blake was announced as two-times 2020 Golden Guitar finalist for Best New Talent and Male Artist of the Year. The winners will be announced at the Golden Guitars Awards night in Tamworth on January 25.

If You Wanna Get To Heaven was originally released by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils from their 1973 debut self-titled album. Blake performed the song at the Toyota Star Maker Grand Final in Tamworth in January 2019 where he was announced the winner. Blake said; “This tune is one head bopper of a song! With the energetic harmonica riff powering throughout the tune really sets it apart from the other songs on the album. I’ve always loved playing harmonica so it’s great to finally feature it on such a fun song! We tried to make it a little slinky so you can’t help but fall into the groove.”
