Following up the releases of Willin’ & Ready and Soul Feeling, Australian singer-songwriter Blake O’Connor returns with his summer feel-good song Kickin’ A Rock. Written by O’Connor and Sinead Burgess the song speaks of falling in love and all of life’s troubles drifting away.

The track was recorded with multi-Grammy-Award winning producer Nick DiDia at his studio in Byron Bay on the NSW north coast and Adam Eckersley.

O’Connor explains the inspiration for the single, “I had such a great time writing this song with Sinead Burgess. It was midnight and we were dancing around a kitchen table singing our lungs out about not having any worries. And the more we sang, the song began to write itself. Once I got into the studio with the band the song really came to life!”

O’Connor is carving out a name for himself, winning the 2019 Toyota Star Maker and following up with a Golden Guitar in January 2020 for Best New Talent. He was also nominated in 2020 for the Best Male Artist.
