Blake Shelton is most certainly “Happy Anywhere” – but this week, “Anywhere” is the top of the country radio charts. The duet with his real-life love Gwen Stefani marks their second chart-topper together and his 28th overall. The single has earned 70 million on-demand streams as well as upwards of 600,000 U.S. track equivalents.
“I don’t know how the hell this keeps happening, but I couldn’t be more grateful that it does,” Shelton said. “Thank you to the songwriters, the music makers, the fans… thank you to my team and to country radio… and, of course, thank you to the incredible Gwen Stefani. Wishing everyone health and safety. We hope that y’all can be ‘Happy Anywhere’ this holiday season.”
The feel-good duet is the follow-up single to Shelton and Stefani’s Platinum-certified No. 1 smash “Nobody But You” from Fully Loaded: God’s Country. The album, a collection of new music and previous hits, recently won Favorite Album – Country at the American Music Awards. The title track earned him the 2019 CMA Award and 2020 ACM Award for Single of the Year. Shelton also took home Country Artist of 2020 at the People’s Choice Awards.
