With his single dropping on Friday and its brand new music video premiering exclusively with Vevo, it sure sounds like Brett Eldredge has found “Somethin’ I’m Good At.” Shot in California and directed by Ethan Lader, whose credits include projects for Bruno Mars, Wiz Kalifa, Mary J. Blige and Mariah Cary, the video shows the fun-loving Eldredge doing what he’s good at – and what he’s not.
“The music video captures the song perfectly,” Eldredge said. “It captured me on my average day of wandering around the world, never knowing what to expect. Sometimes things don’t go your way, but you just put a smile on your face. If you continue to stay positive and have fun with life, good things are going to come your way in the end. Sometimes you get lucky and find something you love, and if you’re good at loving then you’re good at something.”
“Somethin’ I’m Good At,” available now, is the first single from his forthcoming album due this summer. The song has garnered immediate reaction with Rolling Stone proclaiming “…it’s as entertaining as it is unpredictable…” and Taste of Country declaring, “Brett Eldredge’s new single ‘Somethin’ I’m Good At’ is a flat out, all-caps, country music JAM.”
The track follows an impressive string of seven No. 1 songs, including a duet of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” with GRAMMY winner Meghan Trainor from his holiday album Glow. Eldredge is taking all of his hits and more on the road as he tours this year with Luke Bryan.
