Cale Dodds has one question for country music fans: “What We Gonna Do About It?” The Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville recording artist is all about seizing the moment to have a good time in his new track, available now (listen HERE). With nearly 26 million Spotify streams to his name, Dodds is currently featured on the platform’s New Music Friday playlist.
“I’m really excited about getting this song out to fans,” said Dodds. “‘What We Gonna Do About It’ has the exact kind of party feel that I want in my live show. People come to a country music concert for an hour and a half to forget – and I want to give them something to remember.”
Dodds, who penned the tune alongside producer Corey Crowder and Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, also imagined the concept for its official music video. With the help of his band, director Dustin Haney and one special senior center in Nashville, the idea became a reality. Taste of Country premiered the video today, joking that he “rocks the socks off the elderly” and calling the song “infectious” (watch below).
Added Dodds, “When I told my manager and Dustin, the director, what I wanted to do for the visuals, they said, ‘That’s probably the most you idea we’ve ever heard.’ They were right – I love making people laugh, and I think that’s exactly what this video will do. I’m lucky to have a team around me that gave us the creative freedom to make our vision come to life.”
