Christmas Chart Update: 23rd December

Round-up of this week’s Billboard charts:

Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart

Cam’s platinum-selling single ‘Burning House’ features in the top 5 once again this week, but not once….twice! Cam’s version continues to climb up the charts, and sits at #2 this week, behind C2C 2016 artist Thomas Rhett who maintains his position at #1 with ‘Die A Happy Man’. However, a recording of ‘Burning House’ by The Voice contestant Emily Ann Roberts is also new entry at #4. The impact this song has had really is incredible, and it shows no signs of slowing down.

Brothers Osborne have also reached the top 5 with their catchy single ‘Stay A Little Longer’, which takes the #5 spot, replacing Chris Young’s ‘I’m Comin’ Over’ which drops to #6.

Luke Bryan’s new single ‘Home Alone Tonight’, featuring Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, is another song which continues to climb from week to week. This week it sits at its peak position of #7.

Cole Swindell’s personal new single ‘You Should Be Here’, written about his father, is a new entry at #10 and one which is sure to climb into the top 5 very soon.

Billboard Top Country Albums Chart

The debut album from new country star Cam, ‘Untamed’, is a new entry this week at #2. Despite an impressive reception, it still hasn’t been enough to topple Chris Stapleton off the #1 spot. ‘Traveller’ continues to dominate the albums chart following his clean sweep at the CMA Awards earlier this year.

Elsewhere, Carrie Underwood’s ‘Storyteller’ drops to #3, whilst Sam Hunt re-enters the top 5 after falling to #6 last week. ‘Montevallo’ still continues to perform well week after week, despite being around for 60 weeks.

There is also new entry at #25 this week, with independent country artist Jon Langston releasing his self-titled debut EP.
