CARRIE UNDERWOOD – ‘DENIM & RHINESTONES’

Carrie’s been hitting the headlines with her daring P!nk-like performance at the CMT Awards last week when she rose above the crowd singing ‘Ghost Story’ from her new album.

The title track from that album has now been shared and is a 90’s soul-infused anthem. The album will be with us on June 10th and she says that it will have a number of songs with a “throwback feel,” whilst still sound fresh.

ALANA SPRINGSTEEN – ‘NEW NUMBER’

It’s Alana’s follow-up to ‘Me Myself and Why’ and was written by Rhett Atkins, Shane McAnally and Ashley Gorley, three of the most prolific hitmakers in Nashville, so the odds on this track breaking are huge.

Coupled with the fact that Alana Springsteen herself is also fast rising through the ranks in Music City, we reckon ‘New Number’ may be featured on many playlists this summer.

She said that this song was the “first and only outside song that I have recorded”. She’s noted for being one of Nashville’s most prolific songwriters.

AARON RAITIERE – ‘SINGLE WIDE DREAMER’

Aaron may not yet be a household name, but we think that might be about to change. He’s a very prolific songwriter and has already won a Grammy for ‘I’ll Never Love Again,’ a song that Lady Gaga performed in ‘A Star Is Born,’ and has had hits with songs performed by Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Midland and many others.

‘Single Wide Dreamer’ is the title track of his debut album, coming May 6th, produced by Miranda Lambert and Anderson East. It was recorded in RCA Studio A in Nashville and he’s making his Opry debut on May 6th.

BRETT YOUNG – ‘LONG WAY HOME’

It’s a track that will be featured in a new film ‘Father Stu’ starring Mark Wahlberg, which is a true story and follows the life of Father Stuart Long, a boxer who falls on hard times and eventually becomes a priest.

Brett Young’s popularity in the UK is very much on the rise following his acclaimed performance at C2C, and he’s back on these shores later this year for a tour.

LEVI HUMMON – ‘FOR ME’

There have been rumours in Nashville of a romance between Levi Hummon and Ashley Cooke, and ‘For Me’ is the confirmation that seals the deal.

The couple featured in a TikTok video when he confirmed that the song is called ‘For Me’ but it’s really “for you” when she asked him about the title.

He’s recently been out on the road with Cole Swindell as a special guest on Cole’s ‘Down To The Bar’ tour and he has also been promoting his current hit ‘Paying For It,’ which he penned with Walker Hayes.

JILLIAN JACQUELINE FT. TJ OSBORNE – ‘BETTER WITH A BROKEN HEART’

Jillian’s announced the release of her new album ‘Honestly,’ which features tracks co-written with Lori McKenna and Shane McAnally, and a performance from Charlie Worsham.

The first release from it is ‘Better With A Broken Heart,’ featuring guest vocals from TJ Osborne. The album will be with us on June 10th.

The song was written at the start of the pandemic by way of a Zoom call with Adam James and her brother-in-law Topher.

CALLISTA CLARK – ‘GIVE IT BACK BROKEN’

It’s clear to anyone who witnessed Callista’s performances at this year’s C2C that Callista Clark is destined for country music stardom. She’s the 18-year-old protegee who’s already been hailed as the next Taylor Swift in Nashville and her new track ‘Give It Back Broken’ has now been released.

No word yet whether this song will be released to radio as a single, but it has pedigree having been penned with Emily Shackelton.

CHRIS COLSTON – ‘HATE ME IN MY HOMETOWN’

He’s from a small town in Texas and the song touches upon the general reaction and gossip that gets spread around local communities when a mutual breakup occurs between two locals.

It was written with Troy Cartwright and Jeb Gipson, and was produced by Brandon Hood.

He released his debut album ‘Bombs Away’ in 2020 and has been profile-building by touring with some of the Texas scene’s big hitters including Eli Young Band and Parker McCollum.

KELSEA BALLERINI – ‘HEARTFIRST’

Kelsea was due to co-host the CMT Awards last week but tested positive for Covid, meaning that plans had to be hastily rearranged. She was able to fulfil the gig by working from home.

Her links were presented live from home and she even recorded and debuted her new single ‘Heartfirst’ in her back garden!

The song is a very catchy pop-country track and is the first release from a new project that will be released in the Summer.
