JOHN MORELAND – ‘CLAIM YOUR PRIZE’

He’s releasing his new album ‘Birds In The Ceiling’ on the 22nd July, and here we feature the second preview from the project. It was written in 2021, as he was reflecting upon the emotional carnage caused by the lockdowns in 2020.

“Some of the things swirling in my head when I wrote “Claim Your Prize”: the shrinking middle class, the lie of the “American Dream,” trying to understand how the people who taught you right from wrong are now supporting racist, misogynist, morally bankrupt leaders, etc. It’s a song about realizing you’ve been lied to.”

CARRIE UNDERWOOD – ‘SHE DON’T KNOW’

Carrie’s ninth studio album ‘Denim and Rhinestones’ will be released on June 10th, and it’s shaping up to be a classic if the remaining tracks measure up to the previews that have been shared to date.

‘She Don’t Know’ is the latest, written with David Garcia and Hilary Lindsay. A rootsy Carrie Underwood embracing the fiddle and mandolin is a match that many country fans will embrace.

ADAM HOOD – ‘HARDER STUFF’

Adam’s teamed up with Miranda Lambert for the latest preview from his unnamed new album that has no definite release date to report.

The track was produced by Brent Cobb, who is also credited as a writer alongside David Nix and Charlie Starr.

LIDDY CLARK – ‘AUSTIN’

We loved ‘If There Was No Traffic In LA’ last year. The Texas-born, Nashville-based singer has now released ‘Austin.’

“I wrote this song about a boy from Austin, Texas, who happened to be incredibly passionate about leaving his home state and finding new opportunities in bigger places,” Clark tells us. “I wrote this song a few years after I met him, after we had drifted apart a bit, when I saw that he was still in Texas. I hope this song inspires listeners to follow their dreams, even if it leads them into unfamiliar places!”

RONNIE DUNN – ‘HONKY TONK TOWN’

It may be a big summer for Ronnie Dunn, who is releasing a new album ‘100 Proof Neon’ on July 29th, and his latest preview ‘Honky Tonk Town’ has been well received by the country traditionalists.

It’s a duet with Texan Jake Worthington, and follows ‘Broken Neon Hearts’ which has a definite 90’s country feel.

Ronnie now owns his own publishing company, Perfect Pitch Publishing, and has the commercial freedom to do exactly what he wants to do with the make-up of his music.

STEVE MOAKLER – ‘MAKE A LITTLE ROOM’

It’s set to be a big summer for country fans with a batch of new albums on the way.  It’s good to see that Steve Moakler will be in that list, as his new album ‘Make A Little Room’ will be with us on 12th August.

His last two albums have been staples on our playlists, and the release of the title track has raised the expectation levels all over again.

He has co-written with Luke Laird, Marcus Hummon, Stephanie Chapman, Neil Medley and Lucie Silvas for the new record.

HAYDEN HADDOCK – ‘TEQUILA’

Lovers of Kenny Chesney’s beach vibes will find favour with the new single from Red Dirt artist Hayden Haddock. ‘Tequila’ was recorded with Jon Wolfe, and it has the attributes to be a 2022 summer anthem.

The video, featuring a fishing trip, was shot at Rug N Gun Adventures in Bay City Texas.

Wolfe has his own brand of Tequila, ‘Juan Lobo,’ and this also featured heavily in the video.

TYLER HUBBARD – 5 FOOT 9′

It appears that Florida Georgia Line’s time may have come to a close, for now. Brian has already released a solo album, and Tyler’s solo project is in the works. The first taster from the project, ‘5 Foot 9,’ is out now.

Tyler’s latest comments allude to an end for FGL:

““We have about ten more FGL dates that were gonna do this summer, and we’re gonna use that as an opportunity to celebrate and to close the chapter for ourselves and for the fans and tee us up for what’s next.”

MACKENZIE CARPENTER – ‘CAN’T NOBODY’

What a month Mackenzie Carpenter has had. She announced her engagement, and has also signed a recording deal with The Valory Music Co., which is part of Big Machine.

She’s 22 and hails from Georgia, and we are loving her new single ‘Can’t Nobody’ which is her debut release. She’s certainly not resting on her laurels, with a full length album currently in the works.
