HUNTER HAYES  – ‘MISSING YOU’

Hunter describes ‘Missing You’ as a new era for his music. “It’s part of a new album, with a new sound and a new creative spirit that I can’t wait for you to hear more from”.

The song was written with Kevin Griffin and Dan Brook and forms part of his new album ‘Red Sky’ which is not planned for release until early 2023.

He’s been taking a hiatus since the global pandemic hit in 2020 which included an extended road trip. He described the trip as a reset because it got rid of old habits. He’s about to begin touring again at the end of the year, building up to the release of the new album.

JADEN MICHAELS  – ‘WINGS’

She’s a prominent songwriter who to date has mainly worked with pop artists, including collaborations with Jennifer Lopez, Robin Thicke, Demi Lovato and others.

She’s also signed to Sea Gayle Music, a company owned by Brad Paisley and Chris Dubois, and is preparing to release her debut album this year.

‘Wings’ is the latest preview from the collection and she describes it as a song that was was written for her daughters.

KEITH URBAN – ‘BROWN EYES BABY’

The current Radio 2 ‘Record of the Week,’ which perhaps tells us how Keith Urban’s profile in the UK has grown since his hugely successful tour earlier this year.

It’s another preview track from a project that has not yet been formally announced.

It was written by Will Bundy, Rodney Clawson, Josh Thompson and Morgan Wallen.

BEN BURGESS – ‘TEARS THE SIZE OF TEXAS’

Another songwriter who is transferring his talents behind the mic. Ben Burgess wrote Morgan Wallen’s ‘Whiskey Glasses’ and Ernest’s ‘Flower Shops,’ and has now signed a deal with Big Loud. This is his debut single.

‘Tears the Size of Texas’ was written with Josh Kerr and was the first song written since he struck his record deal. The plan now is to release his debut album later this year.

SAM OUTLAW – ‘MFFIL’

Sam’s not been afraid to experiment with his music recently. His latest album was a marked divergence from the Angeleno style that had proved to be very popular with the UK audiences and in his native US, where the album peaked at #4 on the Country album chart.

He toured the UK in the early Spring, and upon returning to the States he embarked upon a series of gigs showcasing the country music of the 80’s and 90’s.

‘Chattahoochie’ is the title of the tribute show that he leads, and he has already played gigs in Nashville and his native LA. ‘MFFIL’ is a taster of that throwback vibe.

PUG JOHNSON AND THE HOUNDS – ‘RANCHO CUCAMONGA’

They describe themselves as “a fresh blend of traditional sounds that have resonated throughout the gulf coast” and are very active in the Texas Country scene.

We’re loving the vibrancy of their new track, ‘Rancho Cucamonga’

WILL HOGE – ‘THE LAST ONE TO GO’

Will’s releasing a new album ‘Wings On My Shoes’ on 26th August, and the 10-track project is also being released on limited vinyl, available exclusively through his website.

‘The Last One To Go’ , the latest taster from the project, is classic Will Hoge, and it has our seal of approval.

We also reckon that he’s overdue another appearance in the UK!

TY HERNDON FT. SHELLY FAIRCHILD – ‘LANDSLIDE’

Its a track from his new project ‘Jacob,’ his ninth studio album which was released this week.

It’s a new start for Herndon, who has experienced his fair share of ups and downs over the last few years. He hit the big time in the mid 90’s with three #1 singles and albums that sold enough to register gold certification. However, his drug and alcohol addictions, culminating in a well publicised suicide attempt on New Years Eve in 2020 have blighted his career.

The album is a fresh beginning, and we are loving his duet with Shelly Fairchild highlighted here.

LITTLE BIG TOWN – ‘RICH MAN’

Written by Jimi Westbrook, “Rich Man” is a reflection on what being ‘rich’ actually means. Financially secure, or someone who can feel blessed with a loving family and a secure bond with those you care for.

It’s the third preview from Little Big Town’s forthcoming 16-song album ‘Mr Sun.’
