Songwriter Hayley Wilson releases the second single Bad For You to media today. Lifted from her debut album  Further Than Forever released February 24, 2017. The album was produced by great Australian country luminary Karl Broadie, whose guidance can be heard on a many number of classic recordings and gifted artist Glen Hannah.

Bad For You was written a couple of years ago after a serious relationship at the time had just ended. Hayley says, “I was starting to find my music and myself again. When a relationship like that ends you’re so devastated that you don’t really see all the reasons why that person wasn’t suitable. Slowly as time went by, I started to realize that all the obvious signs were there but your emotions get in the way and convince you otherwise that this person was right for you. I have had so many people tell me how much they love and relate to this song which makes me really proud as a songwriter to be able to share that with others”.

“The songs on her album such as Bad For You reflect her eclectic tastes, although in places there’s a mournful tone in her voice that hints at emmylou Harris and Lucina Williams as much as the more mainstream Faith Hill and Twain.” – Iain Shedden – The Australian

The video was Directed by Dale Norton from Whaley Films and was shot over 2 days in Nambour and Mapleton on the Sunshine Coast and on location at the Bison Bar. The final scenes of the video, were filmed during the weather associated with Cyclone Debbie. “We didn’t use a rain machine at all and we were just lucky that the rain added to the drama! I couldn’t imagine the video without it. We wanted to capture the story of this relationship from beginning to end including all the lows and highs”, said Hayley.
