Ingrid Andress has shared a taste of her forthcoming sophomore album with the release of her new track, “Good Person.” Written with Steph Jones and Sam Ellis, Andress co-produced the track with Ellis, who also produced her critically-acclaimed debut, Lady Like. Listen to “Good Person” HERE.
“I wrote ‘Good Person’ when I realized that I was starting to question a lot of things,” Andress says. “What makes somebody good and what does that look like, and in a world of being so judgmental of other people, what makes you better than them?” Andress continues, “With the video, I really wanted to mesh these worlds of light and dark and highlight the parallels between the two. Stay tuned fam. This is just the beginning.”
In the new video directed by Olivia Bee, flashes of a gritty hotel room give way to moments of ethereal lightness, signaling the ever-constant inner battle of wanting to be a good person while acknowledging we are all a continuous work in progress.
The forthcoming album is the follow-up to her critically acclaimed debut Lady Like, which racked up 3 GRAMMY nominations including Best New Artist, Best Country Album, Best Country Song for the multi-platinum No. 1 radio single “More Hearts Than Mine.”
