It was so great to finally have Sam Outlaw back in the UK recently! We caught up with Sam during an interview in Manchester to chat about the ‘Popular Mechanics’ record, life in Nashville and plans for new music going forward.

Having made his debut at the legendary Grand Ole Opry in 2019, where he has since become a regular performer, Sam has played at numerous festivals including Stagecoach, AmericanaFest, Tønder Festival in Denmark, and Cambridge Folk Festival, and was highlighted as one of the Artists You Need To See at SXSW by Rolling Stone.

His three albums to date, Angeleno, Tenderheart and the recent Popular Mechanics have all generated critical acclaim. He now resides in Music City, where he recorded the new album alongside Cheyenne Medders, who joined him on the UK tour.
