Jake Owen reminisces the one that got away in “Fishin’ On A River,” available everywhere now.

Written by David Fanning, Drew Parker and Cole Taylor, “Fishin’ On A River” follows the 2021 release of “Drunk On A Boat” and current single “Best Thing Since Backroads,” which is climbing up the charts after becoming the most-added track at Country radio upon release.

Produced by frequent collaborator, Joey Moi, the release marks yet another preview of his next studio project. 

“I knew I had to cut this song the moment I heard it,” says Owen. “When you first hear the title, you’d think it’s a good ole Country anthem about fishin’ with the boys. Instead, it’s a love done gone, sway along track that most everyone can relate. Here’s to the broken-hearted chasing their blues away with Jack and Rye instead of bass and fishing line.”
