Jon Pardi was nominated for his very first award nomination when the ACM Awards were announced last Thursday (February 16th). The California native was actually asleep when he started getting texts about his nomination for ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year.

He said waking up to a nomination was amazing. “It’s a great feeling. I stuck to being myself and who I wanted to be and not changing and to be recognized for that is, it’s awesome. It’s a great feeling. I’ve been to the ACMs about five times, so I’m really looking forward to this one. It’s always a good time. I’d just like to thank everybody that voted and the fans, and all my colleagues in the music business and artists, and it’s just gonna be a good party. It always is. I’m looking forward to it.”

Jon’s latest single, “Dirt on My Boots,” is closing in on the Top 5 on the country charts.

Jon, who will perform during the New Faces Show during Country Radio Seminar this week, is currently on the road with Dierks Bentley on his What the Hell Tour, which makes a stop Sunday (February 19th) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
