Award winning New Zealand artist Kaylee Bell has released her new single “That Summer” to radio and streaming services today. The single features Nashville native singer-songwriter Josh Mirenda. A successful songwriter, Josh has three #1 US country singles as a writer for Dierks Bentley and Jason Aldean.

“I’m honored to have worked with Kaylee on this song. Especially given the times we have all been in recently, just making music feels great. Especially when it’s with such a unique scenario”, said Josh.

Kaylee wrote “That Summer” on a Nashville writing trip with US friends Taylor Acorn and Andrew Pacheco. When it came to recording the song, Kaylee could hear a male voice on the track, and reached out to Josh Mirenda as he has always been one of her favourite US country voices. It’s a taste of her new album, set to be released in August 2021.

“I tweaked the verses with Kiwi Pop Artist Lepani and my producer Simon Oscroft in my home studio in NZ to allow the song to sit better with a male collaboration. It’s a feel good, upbeat summer anthem reminiscing on ‘young love”, said Kaylee.

The video for That Summer was shot at one of the most beautiful NZ beaches called Bethells beach (Taylor Swift ‘Out Of The Woods’ Music video location).
