Little Folk – ‘Big Bad Wolf’

If I wait…if I sit down and take my time,
I might find…that my chance has passed me by – lyrics from Working On Me by Little Folk.

Little Folk have taken the above lyrics to heart, they are actively planning to reach out to a new and larger audience with the release of their new single. Little Folk is comprised of Dewi Bowen (Vocals, Guitar, Bass Drum), Lucy Hannah Bowen (Vocals, Tambourine), Marc Bowen (Banjo), and Niall Rees (Bass Guitar) Last year saw them garner a fantastic response to the release of their debut EP ‘Little Folk – Vol 1’ and the track ‘Music City’ which was accompanied by an award winning Music Video. On April 14th 2017 they are hoping to follow up this success with the release of their brand new single ‘Big Bad Wolf’ which is a unique take on well-known fairytales.

This song was recorded and produced at Acapela Studios with the fantastic producer Lee House. To date they have received excellent feedback for their previous release, with special mention to the quality of the lyrics and sound of the songs.

On the gig front, Little Folk are looking to spread their wings and are concentrating on securing gigs outside the Principality. Some notable gigs include playing at the famous The Water Rats venue in London where they supported the Irish band Rackhouse Pilfer, supporting Ryley Walker on his European tour and most recently opened for BCMA award winner The Southern Companion and Dexeter on their recent UK tour.

Last year saw them play many summer festivals with outstanding feedback from the promoters and audience alike. They have supported a number of touring bands from around the world and were asked to play the RHS Flower Show and the Extreme Sailing Series event. After playing the Chapter Arts Centre they were approached by the radio presenter Chris Corcoran to play on his BBC Radio Wales show as the house band.

Based on a very successful year the bands mission is to continue writing original songs, performing to a wider audience up and down the country and releasing a brand new EP by the summer of 2017.
