Munro – ‘Sweet Sorrow’

Jayne Murdoch and Richard Smith have been performing/writing together for several years now, both having studied music in Perth under the guidance of some of Scotland’s top session musicians. From there they went on to form the award winning country band Hullabaloo, touring the UK at festivals and clubs for several years, developing a loyal and dedicated following of country music friends and fans. Sadly the band went their separate ways and moved to different parts of the country.

Jayne was diagnosed and treated for cancer in 2010. Realising that her real love in life, music, had fallen by the wayside, she began writing again. As her health returned music started to take centre stage & many of the songs Munro have written reflect moments from her difficult journey. Country music can ignite every emotion, joy, heartbreak & pain but no matter where the story is drawn from it’s always heartfelt.

Munro are looking forward to performing their songs to lovers of Country Music everywhere.

Signed to Smart Indie in the beginning of 2016 their debut EP ‘Coming Home’ will be released on 1st June 2017 (physical CD, download & streaming), ‘Sweet Sorrow’ will be the lead track from the EP and the video link for “Sweet Sorrow” can be found below.
