LifeInASong_UK

A bumper crop of new releases for you to check out….

KIP MOORE – ‘SHE’S MINE

Starting us off this week is this absolute stormer from Long Road headliner Kip Moore. If you weren’t planning to attend this year’s festival, just imagine hearing this on Saturday night with a couple of thousand Kip fanatics rocking in front of the main stage. You know you want to…

RILEY GREEN – ‘I WISH GRANDPAS NEVER DIED

Let’s be honest, we listen to country music for songs like this. Riley tells us all the things he wishes for in the world – “I wish country radio would play country music” … enough said!

It’s from the new album ‘Different ‘Round Here’, due on 20th September.  Should be good!

TRACY LAWRENCE – ‘NOTHING BURNS LIKE YOU

Huge in the 90’s but hasn’t had a hit record for over 10 years. Tracy Lawrence has released a single from his recently released album ‘Made In America’.

This guy sold double platinum albums in the late 90’s and has worked with just about everybody in Nashville. He even had Toby Keith and Kenny Chesney perform at his wedding! It doesn’t get more Country than this.

KEVIN MCGUIRE – ‘THE NIGHT IS YOUNG (T.N.I.Y)

UK artist Kevin McGuire is back with a track that stacks up against anything coming out of Music City. Massively radio friendly…. Radio 2, where are you?

We may be slightly biased, having been Kevin fans for a long time, but this is just awesome. Some of the best production we’ve heard from an unsigned UK artist, and a top quality music video to match. Exciting times ahead…

LADY ANTEBELLUM – ‘PICTURES

The second release from the forthcoming album – Lady A are back on form with another singalong anthem that really ought to be a forthcoming single. Warm, infectious, and Lady A at their best.

JESS THRISTAN – ‘YOUR TURN

Country music from Yorkshire.  Jess Thristan is definitely one to watch -great voice and a song to match.  This is the second new release of hers, following ‘The Old Me’, with more new music on the way…

TROY CARTWRIGHT – ‘HUNG UP ON YOU’

We have said it many times, but if you scratch under the surface of the mainstream US Country stars, the talent pool is huge. Troy Cartwright is signed with Warner Music Nashville. ‘Hung Up On You’ first emerged at the beginning of the year, but is now being pushed to radio…

ZACH WILLIAMS – ‘WALK WITH YOU

Not a country artist but a song that fits totally with our genre. Zach Williams is a Christian rock artist from Arkansas. Put this on your sound system, turn it up load and belt it out. It’s a stunner.

SHERYL CROW FT. CHRIS STAPLETON – ‘TELL ME WHEN IT’S OVER

The latest release from the ‘Threads’ album that will be with us on 30th August. The album will be her last and features collaborations with Jason Isbell, Maren Morris, Brandi Carlile and James Taylor. She co-wrote this one with Stapleton

ALLIE COLLEEN – ‘WORK IN PROGRESS

It’s difficult not to mention the fact that Allie Colleen is the daughter of Garth Brooks. She’s trying to avoid the connections and wants to be judged on her own merits. That’s very easy, as this is an extremely promising debut.

MAE ESTES – ‘NAKED

We saw Mae Estes at the Listening Room in Nashville with Kenny Foster last year. She blew us away and we have been waiting for her to release something so we could tell the world just how good she actually is. Check this one out…

CASSADEE POPE – ‘I’VE BEEN GOOD

The latest release from Cassadee’s ‘Stages’ album. The fourth release from that album and the follow-up to ‘If My Heart Had A Heart’. In truth, any track from the album could have been chosen as a single (it really is that good), but this is a fantastic fit.

TYLER CHILDERS – ‘COUNTRY SQUIRE

Probably the hottest name in traditional country music right now – Tyler Childers. Rootsy, authentic and hugely listenable, this is the first release from the album of the same name. He performed this on the Jimmy Fallon show last week. He’s in the UK later this month so there’s no excuse not to check him out!
