Here we go again folks. The pick of the latest new releases Yes, we know that the top end of the country music releases will be dominated by Lady Antebellum, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett, but that’s too easy and we like to dig a bit deeper!
Here are our latest picks….
MITCH ROSSELL – ‘ALL I NEED TO SEE’
Mitch is a Tennessee guy and an independent artist who has put out a track that with sufficient exposure could surely gain some traction.
Great song and production.
TEBEY – ‘GOOD JEANS’
Tebey Solomon Ottoh from Canada is based in Nashville and has released a contender for the most commercial single of this week’s piece. Banjo-dominated and radio friendly. Good tune!
AUSTIN JENCKES – ‘NEVER FORGET’
He released one of our favorite songs of 2019 so far with ‘Fat Kid’, and the quality of this guy’s output never fails to impress.
He has a new album out soon and will also be appearing at The Long Road in September. ‘Never Forget’ is the third release from the new album ‘If You Grew Up Like I Did’.
LOGAN MIZE – ‘FROM THE VAULT‘ (EP)
A 5-track EP from Logan Mize, who played at C2C in March. He describes them as older recordings that for whatever reason at the time never had the chance to come out. We feature ‘Only In This Town’, the lead song on the EP…
MATT STELL – ‘EVERYWHERE BUT ON‘
Matt Stell might be name we are all going to become familiar with soon. His single ‘Prayed For You’ is still gaining traction slowly on the US country charts and seems to be following a path trod recently by Russell Dickerson and ‘Yours’, which took the best part of 2 years to hit the top 20.
‘Everywhere But On’ is the first release from Matt’s 7-track EP which will be released on 24th May, and also features a duet with Jimmie Allen
CLARA BOND – ‘DOES YOUR GIRLFRIEND KNOW YOU’RE SINGLE‘
Clara wrote the song with Lewis Fuller years ago, but was waiting for the production to be just right before releasing it commercially. If you’ve seen Clara at her various festival appearances of the last couple of years, you’ll know what a great talent she is. Check this one out!
BLAKE O’CONNOR – ‘BEAUTIFUL AS YOU‘
We are days away from “Buckle And Boots’ and if you are making your way up to the farm this year, be sure to catch this guy.
He’s Australian and was a big hit at the Tamworth Music Festival, which we covered earlier this year. He’s releasing a new album soon and this is taster track from it.
ANDY VELO – ‘HALF TRUTHS AND OTHER LIES‘
Andy Velo is another independent artist who is plying his trade in Nashville. Originally from North Georgia, he released a full album ‘North Georgia Pines’ in 2018. ‘Half Truths” is the first release from a new EP due shortly.
It has a definite California summer feel to it.
CHANCEY WILLIAMS & THE YOUNGER BROTHERS BAND – ‘WYOMING WIND‘
The definite winner of ‘’it doesn’t get more country than this’’ award for this week!
Chancey was raised on a ranch, rode in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo and this song bleeds country. His last single was called “The World Needs More Cowboys”, which tells us all we need to know.
