New Release Round-Up: November 6th

LifeInASong_UK

The new music just keeps on coming! Here are some of our favourite new tunes from the last couple of weeks…

KAREN WALDRUP – ‘ME AGAIN’ (FEAT. WILLIAM MICHAEL MORGAN)

Karen Waldrup has been on the verge of a breakthrough for the last couple of years. She has been winning industry awards in Nashville and playing sold-out shows. Her cover of ‘I Hope You Dance’ has 35 million views and she’s become an internet sensation.

Her new single features William Michael Morgan, who will be touring in the UK next week and appearing at the BCMA awards this Saturday.

ROYAL SOUTH – ‘FEET’

Glen Mitchell, SaraBeth and Vicky Vaughn are collectively Royal South.  They appeared at the inaugural Dixie Fields festival earlier this year and have now released an awesome mid-tempo single, featuring some top drawer harmonies.

They’ve been hugely dedicated to building a UK fan base over the years, and it seems like they’re starting to make some waves across the pond now, too. Fingers crossed!

DAVID NAIL – ‘FORGIVENESS’

We are not going to apologise for displaying our bias towards David Nail again!  Two weeks on the trot, but this one’s special. It’s the stand-out track on his ‘Oh, Mother’ EP, which was released last Friday.

RAY FULCHER – ‘GHOST

Another artist who is making waves in Nashville is Harlem, Georgia native Ray Fulcher, who has just released another strong single, ‘Ghost’. He’s toured with Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen.

He co-wrote ‘When It Rains It Pours’ as well as 7 other songs on Luke’s ‘This Ones For You’ album, so his pedigree and his bank account is healthy!

It might now be his turn for stardom…

HOLLOWAY ROAD – ‘MY LOVE’

We never shirk the opportunity to highlight UK country artists who release quality country music, and we love Jack and Rob. They are known for their ‘bangers’ – this is certainly one of those, but in a much different way to some of their previous releases.

Well worth a listen…

CLINT BLACK – ‘THIS OLD HOUSE’

The ‘Old House’ is the Grand Ole Opry, and Clint Black’s all-star tribute features Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, Cody Jinks, Sara Evans, Michael Ray, Darius Rucker, Travis Tritt and Steve Wariner. It’s a 30 year old song that’s not seen the light of day before, and the video was filmed on the Opry stage and dressing rooms.

CHRIS COLSTON – ‘FIRST DIRT ROAD

We’ve all heard too many country songs about trucks, drinking beer and dirt roads… so we go and highlight another one!

Why? Because we happen to really like it. Chris Colston isn’t a name that we are familiar with; he’s an East Texan native and plies his trade on the Texas/Red Dirt scene.  Always good to promote a new name.

THE SWON BROTHERS – ‘TRAVELIN’ ON’

Despite their lack of presence on the country charts, The Swon Brothers continue to release top drawer tunes. This is no exception. It features Vince Gill on backing vocals as an added bonus!

THE TUTEN BROTHERS – ‘MONICA

The Tuten Brothers are Walker and Sam Tuten from Athens, Georgia. New on the scene, but displaying so much promise.

If you like this, check out their self titled EP.

KANE BROWN – ‘FOR MY DAUGHTER’

He’s only gone and done it. Kane Brown has released a straight-up country song that’s impressing the traditionalists. Fiddle and steel, and a heartfelt story.

Kane’s a Dad and he’s proud to tell the world…
