New Release Round-Up: October 21st

The COVID restrictions in Texas have had one significant upside – Aaron Watson has been writing lots of songs. He has also been tending to his chickens and driving his kids around. Normally, he would be taking his show on the road.

He prides himself on his love for God and his country, and having experienced his show live in the US, it’s clear that patriotism and the love for the American flag has a special significance, and resonates with his fanbase.

‘American Soul’ is a song intended to raise spirits in a difficult year.

Kaci Brown and Sam Gray first performed together in 2017 when songwriter and performer Gray wrote a pop-country song, ‘Top Down’, and needed a female vocalist to accompany him. His record label Notting Hill Music suggested Kaci Brown, and the match was made.

Kaci hails from Texas, and Sam from Hull, but the liaison has so far produced three singles and a 2018 EP, ‘Salt In The Coffee’.

‘Make You Mine’ is their first release of the year, and is receiving healthy attention from CMT and SiriusXM.

Jordan’s one of Destination Country’s artists featured in Country Music Week for a ‘Happy Half Hour’, and has built up an impressive following since he appeared in the UK last year.

He released an EP in May, but is back with another new song. ‘Lose You’ is a song that appreciates the love and support provided by partners, and the need to hold onto that support.

Canadian Country Album of the Year winner Jess Moskaluke is back with a new single, ‘Mapdot’, a personal ode to her small town upbringing in Saskatchewan, a place she is still proud to call home.

She’s won the CCMA Female Artist of the Year award on three occasions and it’s high time her talent was recognised and appreciated here in the UK.

Big voice and a cool song. Check it out.

We featured Shenandoah’s collaboration with Zac Brown Band a couple of weeks ago, and we are now able to highlight another track from their upcoming collaboration album, this time with Lady A.

The album, ‘Every Road’, will be released on November 13th. ‘Every Time I Look At You’ was penned by Hilary, Dave and Charles, together with Dallas Davidson.

The album will also feature Luke Bryan, Ashley McBryde, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, Cody Johnson, Brad Paisley and Carly Pearce.

Lee’s definitely on a roll. ‘One of Them Girls’ was his 8th #1 single and his collaboration with Carly Pearce, ‘I Hope Your Happy Now’, also hit the top spot earlier this year.

‘Memory I Don’t Mess With’ is his new single, and features on his 6th studio album, ‘Hey World’, which is set to be released on 20th November.

He’s also revealed that he is writing songs already for the next two album projects, so it seems that we won’t be starved of Lee Brice music for the foreseeable future.

We have featured Brad Cox previously on YLIAS.  He’s at the forefront of Australian Country Music and was the winner of the prestigious Toyota Star Maker award in 2019. He’s signed with Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

He’s also one of the few artists who is on tour in 2020.

‘Short Lived love’ is his new single, and features on his new album, ‘My Mind’s Projection’, which will be released on November 6th.

Russell’s made a couple of visits to the UK and opened for Darius Rucker last year. Those who had the pleasure of seeing him perform will know that his shows always include their fair share of ‘stand up and sing’ tunes, and ‘Never Get Old’ is sure to be added to the set list.

It’s a track that will be included on his sophomore album, ‘Southern Symphony’, due on December 4th, and he describes the album as the “best work I’ve created”.

The song was written with Brian and Tyler from FGL.

Honey County are a duo comprising of founding member Katie Stump and Sofie Lynn.

They are a band that formed as a threesome in California, but following the departure of Dani Rose and Devon Jane, have now re-emerged with a new line up and new material.

‘Cry Wolf’ is one of two new tracks that the girls have released. It’s paired with ‘Ghost Train’, and features the powerful two-part harmonies that fans have come to know and love from the duo.

Check out their performance with Jam In The Van below…

The Gronkowski Brothers will be relatively unknown here in the UK. In the US, they have a significantly higher profile, consisting of NFL legend Rob, Super Bowl winner Glenn, NFL players Dan and Chris and baseball star Gordie Jnr.  They are collectively termed ‘The Gronk Nation’ and their sphere of influence is ever growing and extends into country music.

They formed a relationship with LOCASH members Preston Trust and Chris Lucas during lockdown, and they have all collaborated on this anthem, ‘Cloud of Dust’, written at Lucas’s house.

Featuring Sykamore, this an upbeat dance track that maintains Ryan Kinder’s killer brand of soulful country. It’s his first release for two years and is the follow up to ‘Stay’, which we featured back in July 2018.

It seems an age since we were enjoying Ryan’s performances in the UK, and it’s great to have him back on the scene.
