Record numbers will this year attend the largest Country and Roots Festival in the Southern Hemisphere, with event organisers today announcing that CMC Rocks QLD has completely sold out for the second consecutive year.

In its 10th Anniversary year, the festival will host more than 15,000 music lovers across three huge days at Willowbank, with headline performances from global superstars the Dixie Chicks, Little Big Town, Kip Moore and local stars Lee Kernaghan and Morgan Evans. With expanded camping areas, an extended campers entertainment program, and more of the best food and beverage suppliers, CMC Rocks QLD has been able to increase capacity by around 2,000, up from last year’s 13,000 maximum capacity crowd, remaining the only country music festival to ever sell out in Australia.

“It is very exciting to see the growth of Country Music around the world, and for us to have an event in Australia that truly reflects this with chart topping artists from USA, UK, Canada, NZ and Australia all performing at this year’s 10th Anniversary CMC Rocks QLD Festival”, said promoter Rob Potts.

Music lovers will turn out in force this month to watch some of the biggest names in country music hit the stage at CMC Rocks QLD, and with sixteen international acts playing alongside a plethora of established and up-and-coming local artists, 2017 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet!

Two-time GRAMMY winners Little Big Town will bust out their hit-laden repertoire including the smash hit ‘Better Man’, currently the most-played song in country music and penned by none other than Taylor Swift. With a brand new album ‘The Breaker’ released last week, Little Big Town are ready to unleash on Australian audiences on their debut tour Down Under.

Returning to Australia for the first time in over ten years are the Dixie Chicks; without doubt one of the biggest US female bands of all time. With thirteen Grammy Awards, six Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards, countless Country Music Association Awards and record sales in excess of 30 million under their belt, Dixie Chicks will close the festival with an anticipated set.
