Robert Vincent Shares Video For ‘The Ending’

Robert Vincent has shared a music video for ‘The Ending’. The song is lifted from his critically-acclaimed album, In This Town You’re Owned which was released last February.

Vincent’s most socially & politically poignant album to date, In this Town You’re Owned was produced by Brit Award winning Ethan Johns – who has won acclaim for his production work with, amongst others, Paul McCartneyRay LaMontagne and Laura Marling. It has been nominated for UK Album Of The Year at this year’s Americana UK Awards.

“It’s so nice to see Rob’s record nominated this year” remarked Johns on Vincent’s nominations. “I had such a good time making it with him and the band. It’s a special collection of songs and he sings them beautifully.”

“Trust me, to release an album at the start of a global pandemic, I for one never imagined that I would have to do the large majority of live performances and promote this album from my studio room at home” admits Vincent on the trials and tribulations of being a musician during these times.

“Under normal circumstances being a dedicated musician can be challenging, but this is a new one for us all. Being able to communicate individually with the viewing audience whilst playing from home has created a unique experience for me and my audience” continues Vincent

This new virtual relationship led to fans asking if he would record solo or stripped back versions of his songs from home.

“It became clear that people wanted to hear the songs in this format and in a more intimate setting”. The result is a beautiful, three-part EP series titled From Home where Vincent has specially selected tracks from each of his three albums, stripping them right back, with the pure quality of his song writing laid bare. He has also included covers of songs that inspired him during the time of recording.

With my friends, and engineered with Gareth Jones at home, playing live, relaxed, and yes, well ok, there may have been a drink or two involved, we recorded around 30 songs and I chose 12 in all to go onto the EPs”
