Sarah Darling announces the first song to be released from her acoustic singles series ‘The Campfire Session’ is a cover of The Wreckers ‘Leave The Pieces’. The single comes hot off the heels of a critically triumphant European tour, and precedes her upcoming London date at Islington’s Union Chapel on December 2nd 2019.

‘Leave The Pieces’ is one of the tracks specially curated and arranged from ‘The Campfire Sessions’ that  represents an important moment in Sarah’s life; when she has felt inspired, the soundtrack to a life changing moment, or a nostalgic call back to her childhood. Naming the series as such was a conscious decision by Sarah, “The name “Campfire Sessions” evokes a visual of sitting around a fire playing these to my friends.  It brings me back to my childhood when I started with just a guitar, playing my tunes for anyone who would listen! These are acoustic covers of some of my favorite songs that hold special meaning to me or have influenced me at a time in my life. Most will have been hit songs when they were first released, although maybe not so well known now, so I’m really excited to be introducing them to my fans, done in my own way!”

Sarah chose this specific track to release first because it represented a very early moment in her musical journey, “I was a young singer/songwriter in Nashville, playing every writer’s round.  I remember hearing this track and just being blown away.  It’s an infectious song about heartbreak, mixed with girl power.  Not to mention that one of my great friends, Billy Austin, wrote it.”
