An album that only just missed the cut for our top 10 last year was Mo Pitney’s debut album ‘Behind This Guitar’. It had been a long time coming, 2 years after the lead single ‘Country’ was released. It’s a country traditionalist’s dream album – Mo’s stunning voice is just about as country as it gets, and these songs are written from the heart. It’s raw, it’s open, it’s honest and it’s damn good country music.
