I believe that the sign of a great Country song is one that strikes emotion from the first listen, well Danielle got me in the first verse on her new track Human Diary. You definitely got a tear or two from me on this one, Danielle.

For anyone who has read my previous review of Danielle’s music, it will have been obvious to you that I was probably going to love whatever she gave to us next, but it’s safe to say that any ear would agree that this is a great song.

Human Diary is a raw, honest song and not only did Danielle give us the audio but she also treated us to a video, her first in quite a while. This is the second track that we have heard from Danielle’s upcoming sophomore album, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met.

This heartfelt ballad was penned by Emily Weisband and Josh Kerr and the lyrics spell out that of a message to an old lover, the one who knew you on the inside and the outside. “When you left, you didn’t just leave. You take all my secrets with you.”

It is a total contrast of what we heard with the lead single “Sway” a couple of months ago, which was a fun and up-beat number.

The mature, perfected sound from Bradbery on Human Diary welcomes us into the next chapter of her life, with a more mature sound and a deep story attached to the audio and video alike.

December 1st is the anticipated date of the new album. This will make it just over four years since her first album, which was simply titled “Danielle Bradbery”

Let’s call a spade a spade, this track will be steady competition for other young country music artists out there right now. It’s awesome.

I’m going with a 4 for the song and an extra 0.5 for the tears it took from me.

4.5 Danielle and a standing ovation from the UK.
