SPOTLIGHT: Gasoline & Matches Release ‘If You Wanna Stay’

Starting the year with their debut single ‘Fool’s Gold’ topping the UK iTunes Country Chart, a headlining performance at The Hard Rock London and a five date Californian tour in the bag, Gasoline & Matches are already proving why they’ve been named as Lyrics Magazine’s ‘Artists to Watch’ in 2018. The second release ‘If You Wanna Stay’ continues the fantastic work of renowned producer Gavin Monaghan, reflecting a very different sound and exposing the duo’s diversity.

‘I think we forget to tell people what we are really feeling and often that miscommunication leaves simple things unsaid and stories incomplete. ‘If You Wanna Stay’ is about those unspoken words. The music has a slightly 80’s vibe and shows another side to our writing style’ – Sally Rea Morris

A unique blend of Fleetwood Mac-esque harmonies, Brad Paisley-infused guitar solos, and lyrics resembling an early Aimee Mann, Gasoline & Matches made a powerful impact on the UK scene last year. Following appearances at 2 of the UK’s premier country festivals, Buckle & Boots and FSA Fest, they received a nomination for Duo of the Year at the 2017 British CMA Awards alongside The Shires and Ward Thomas. With their undeniable chemistry on stage and their debut single airing on BBC Radio, this explosive duo are already setting the UK Country scene alight!
