Saltbush Six is a new band formed by members of The Ayers Rockettes, who were the band that helped launch Keith Urban’s career. They release their debut single ‘Live From Our House (Saturday Night)’ to radio today.
The band is Peter Clark (Drums – The Ranch), Marlon Holden, Brad Hooper, Allan Cameron and are joined by the talented Darcy Crawford on vocals. Australian born Darcy is current British Country Music Association, Male Vocalist of The Year. Their debut album will be released in 2019.
From humble beginnings in southern Queensland, today the band boasts a roll-call of performers they have backed that’s a veritable who’s who of country and rock: from Lee Kernaghan, Trisha Yearwood (USA), Big House (USA), Tania Kernaghan and James Blundell, to Doc Neeson’s Angels, and the Godfather of country music himself, Slim Dusty at The Grand Ole Opry, USA. A talented bunch of music professionals whose love of performing has only increased in their many years of working together.
It’s understandable that people who have seen and heard this band over the years regard them with much love and respect. From the band’s point of view, it’s been wonderful developing a close relationship with their audience over the years, to the extent that original fans now bring their own families to these shows, introducing a whole new generation to what was for them a pivotal part of their musical journey.
