During a packed 2017 of festival performances including playing C2C, opening for The Shires during Outside Live, numerous gigs and their first UK tour, Sam Coe & The Long Shadows also hit the recording studio to record their first full-length album Full Moon with GingerDog Records, set for release on 16th March 2018. From slow, melodic love songs to rapid traditional numbers, the new album is a rollercoaster of country/Americana delight, showcasing Sam’s incredible song- writing and the whole bands’ impressive musicality. Featuring a plethora of instrumentation with elements and influences from a range of genres, while still staying true to their country roots, Full Moon manages to surprise and satisfy both country music lovers and new listeners alike.
Sam Coe & The Long Shadows hail from the Suffolk/Norfolk border, deep in rural East Anglia. Formed in 2015 when Sam was yearning to return to the Country Music routes she was brought up on, the band create honest, country music songs combined with just the right amount of pop. Catchy riffs, clever songwriting and hints towards the more traditional country genre create a pop/ country sound likened to Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price or The Dixie Chicks.
