SPOTLIGHT: Tori Martin Releases New Single, ‘Fun’

Tori Martin has released her brand new single “Fun.” The song could not be more timely as stay-at-home orders are lifted and states begin to re-open. “Fun” is the second single from her forthcoming album, ‘Lucky’.

The catchy up-tempo tune which was co-written with award-winning songwriters, Kirsti Manna (Blake Shelton’s “Austin”), Bill DiLuigi and produced by Bill Warner, is meant to serve as a reminder that we need to take control of our time, focus on what’s important and make every moment count.

“Fun” was inspired by the merry-go-round we all ride called life! I wrote this upbeat summer song with two powerhouse writers, Kirsti Manna and Bill DiLuigi. Our world today is so fast-paced that we rarely take time to enjoy the moment or make time for our loved ones. This song was written prior to quarantine life. I think, now more than ever, we have come to realize those everyday moments we may have taken for granted. Everyone has been forced to slow down and focus on what is really important. After all, if life is short and tomorrow isn’t promised…we should be having fun!

Martin added, “In light of our current situation, it is also important to be responsible and follow proper safety precautions, but as things start returning to the new normal, it is the perfect time to reconnect with friends and family that we have missed seeing for far too long and get back to doing those things we enjoy and making memories.

About Tori Martin:

The Texas-native moved to Nashville in 2017 to follow her musical dreams and she continues to tour across the country. She has already achieved success on the Texas Country charts. Her songs “From Here to There” (#22), “Done Deal” (#19), and “Woman Up” (#20) are all loved amongst her fans.

Growing up in Azle, Texas, the 25-year-old has always had a passion for music. She began singing in church as a child and was heavily influenced by her country music-loving Paw-Paw, who bought Martin her first guitar.

She recorded her first EP, Falling Straight Up in Nashville at age 16 and played her first headlining concert that same year. Noting Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston, and Stevie Nicks as her musical inspirations, Martin has become known for her powerhouse vocals and sincere songwriting. In 2014, she was named one of the “New Faces of Country” by Renegade Radio Nashville and was a contestant on Season 14 of American Idol. The following year, she was nominated for “New Female Vocalist of the Year” at the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards.
