Earlier this year, UK based Vic Allen announced that she had begun working on her debut album with GingerDog Records. Following the release of single “Blinded” back in August, which reached the top ten in the UK Country Music charts, Vic has now released “Keeping Me Up” as her next single. A solo write from Vic, the up-tempo track captures the middle-of-the-night anxiety resulting from a recent breakup. What if the decision to part ways was wrong?
Since the release of her most recent EP, which was fan-funded via a successful PledgeMusic campaign, Vic has performed at a large variety of venues, including a support slot for Mark Wilkinson at London’s Bush Hall, and has received airplay on BBC Introducing and Chris Country. In May this year, she co-headlined the “Write Like a Girl” tour alongside Beth Keeping and Emily Faye, promoting women in music. She has also spent several months in Nashville, where she penned a number of the tracks from her upcoming album, including “Blinded”.
Before the end of the year Vic will be playing several shows, including an evening at The Boisdale in London with CountryLine TV in November, and a support slot for sibling duo Cattle and Cane in December.
