The UK’s best-selling country act The Shires are leading the race to the number one spot of the official UK album charts with their latest release Good Years, out now via BMG. Listen here

Speaking on the album’s chart position, the band said:

“We are so grateful to every single person that has bought ‘Good Years’. We set out to make a positive, uplifting record and we hope it brings some joy to people right now at this difficult time. We were so sad not to be able to play C2C last weekend, but it’s great to see our community coming together this week for (fingers crossed) a UK Country #1”.

If the duo – Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes – continue on this trajectory, ‘Good Years’ will mark their first-ever UK Number 1 album.

The title of the record couldn’t ring truer for Ben and Crissie as the new release follows two gold-certified albums and three Top 10 singles.
