The Wandering Hearts Release Billie Eilish Cover

The Wandering Hearts share their haunting rendition of Billie Eilish’s dark pop anthem ‘When The Party’s Over’, out now on Decca.

Speaking of the track, the band say, “We are huge fans of Billie Eilish and her debut album and this song just captured our hearts. We had great fun down at Middle Farm Studios reimagining this beautiful song and working with the talented Maddie and Will on strings. We are so excited for everyone to hear our version of ‘When the Party’s Over’.”

Featuring a soaring orchestral accompaniment to the band’s trademark harmonies, this release follows their version of Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus’ ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’. The band continue, “We’ve loved working on these songs in the studio in-between sessions for our new album. We’ve had a really special time working on the arrangements and hope that shines through in what you hear”.

The band recently returned from North America, where they commenced recording their new album. They say they are working on a sonic vision that will “push boundaries and take risks, straddling the rawness of our live sound with elements of contemporary production on big, catchy choruses. We are drawing on our varied influences to add a nostalgic nod, using our voices to tie the sound together.”

After being personally invited to the US by music legend Marty Stuart last summer, the band returned to Nashville last month to perform at CMA Festival for the second year in a row and played an intimate show at the iconic Bluebird Café. They were also honoured to be invited to return to the Grand Ole Opry, one year to the day since they made their Opry debut.
